Zero Waste Living

Recycling is not only a great way to help the environment, it’s an easy way to save money as well. The government in the NSW region places a $138 per tonne levy on waste in part to encourage recycling. Your local rubbish collection also charges money for regular pick up. By recycling, you help reduce the amount of waste you create, saving you and your family money.

The best way to start is to establish a habit. Instead of throwing away recyclable items, get bins to separate them. Simply having a place to put your aluminium cans, cardboard boxes and excess plastic can make the transition to recycling a lot easier. Achieving true “zero waste” is difficult and not possible for every family, but we can all do more to help protect our planet by recycling.
